Ali Wong

Ali Wong is an Emmy-winning actress, comedian, writer, and producer, known for her breakout Netflix stand-up specials “Baby Cobra,” “Hard Knock Wife,” and the Emmy-nominated “Don Wong.” In October 2024, she released her fourth and most recent Netflix comedy special, “Ali Wong: Single Lady.” For this special, Wong received a Golden Globe Award and was nominated for a Critics Choice TV Award and a Directors Guild of America Award. She recently directed the upcoming stand-up special of Frankie Quiñones for Hulu.

In spring 2023, Wong starred in and served as executive producer on the Netflix and A24 dark-comedy series “Beef,” alongside Steven Yeun. The series premiered in April 2023 to widespread acclaim, winning 8 Emmy Awards and earning 13 nominations. Wong’s performance as Amy Lau earned her an Emmy, Golden Globe, Critics Choice Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award for “Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series.” She also won a Gotham Award and an Independent Spirit Award for her acting. “Beef” won the Emmy and Critics Choice Award for “Best Limited Series,” swept all its nominated categories at the Golden Globes, and was recognized by the American Film Institute as one of the best television programs of the year.

In 2019, Wong co-wrote and starred in the romantic comedy “Always Be My Maybe” alongside Randall Park. She also served as executive producer and voiced the lead in the quirky animated series “Tuca and Bertie,” and directed Sheng Wang’s 2022 comedy special “Sweet and Juicy.” That same year, Wong published her autobiographical book “Dear Girls: Intimate Tales, Untold Secrets & Advice for Living Your Best Life,” which became a New York Times bestseller. The book features heartfelt and hilarious letters addressed to her daughters.
