Cookie Policy
We use various online technologies to enable the best digital experiences. Learn more about these technologies, why we use them, and how you can manage them.
When visiting one of the websites or mobile apps of Live Nation Venues (Netherlands) B.V., operating under the name AFAS Live (hereinafter referred to as "us" or "we"), or interacting with our digital services, we use cookies and other online tracking technologies (hereinafter: "online technologies").
This policy describes how we use online technologies, outlines the types of online technologies used, and clarifies your choices and rights concerning your preferences.
For more information about how your personal information is used, you can also refer to our Privacy Policy.
Online Technologies
We and our external partners use online technologies to provide a more user-friendly experience. These online technologies may consist of cookies, or pixels, or web beacons, tags, scripts, or SDKs.
A cookie is a data file placed by your browser on your device that contains information about your online activities. Pixels, web beacons, or tags are pixel images that track web traffic, conversions, and behavior. Web beacons are scripts that run on the web page and collect information about browsing behavior. An SDK (software development kit) is a set of tools on the operating system (OS) that enables tracking and functionality.
Online tracking technologies are either first-party (i.e., managed by us) or third-party (developed by an external party).
The duration a cookie remains on your computer depends on whether it is a persistent cookie or a session cookie. Session cookies are temporary and last until you leave the website or close your browser.
Persistent cookies remain until browsing ends or until they expire or are deleted (in your device/browser settings). These retention periods are displayed when viewing the cookie in the preference center.
Categories of Online Technologies
Online technologies can be categorized into the following four groups:
- Strictly Necessary: These are required for the website to function, enable its technical functionality, and provide the services you request. For example, setting country and language preferences, ensuring you stay logged in during your visit, or enabling security and fraud prevention. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled and do not require consent.
- Performance: These help us count visits to our and other websites, allowing us to measure and improve the performance of our websites. These tracking technologies collect aggregated information.
- Functional: These allow the website to offer enhanced functionality and better personalization. They can be set by us or our external partners whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these technologies, some or all of our services may not function properly.
- Advertising & Targeting: These may be either our technologies or those of our external partners. They enable us to learn more about your interests, including which products and services you are interested in or have purchased on one of our websites and apps. We and our partners use this information to show you more personalized marketing and product recommendations based on your interests and behavior. If you do not allow these technologies, you will receive less targeted advertising from us and our external partners.
- Social: These can be used to enable you to share our content with your friends and networks. They can track your browser on other websites and build a profile of your interests. This can affect the content and messages you see on other websites you visit. If you do not allow these technologies, you may not be able to use or see these sharing tools.
For more information and details on the type of vendors and category per online technology, please refer to the cookie preference center available on all our websites and apps under "Manage My Cookies."
How to Manage Online Technologies on Our Websites and Apps
Preference Center
If it is the first time you visit one of our websites or apps, depending on your location, you may choose to "accept" our use of online technologies. If you want to manage your preferences for categories or online technologies by third parties, you can do so via the "cookie settings" option. You may also choose to reject all online technologies.
If you do not accept this, these cookies will not be placed on your device. The only cookies that are always active are Strictly Necessary Cookies.
You can update and manage your cookie preferences at any time via the link "Manage My Cookies" in the footer of one of our websites or in our apps.
Browser Settings
In addition to our preference center, most browsers allow you to manage your cookie preferences, for example, by having the browser warn you when you receive a new cookie or by disabling cookies altogether. If you choose to disable or delete cookies, some sites will work less effectively because they depend on online technologies.
If you do not want us and third-party organizations to use online technologies in our emails, such as pixel tags, it is best to not enable images when viewing our emails. In other words, view only the plain text of the email. Some web browsers and email providers, such as Gmail, have settings or extensions available to disable/block such cookies.
Choices for Advertisements
When you see the Ad Choices icon on an advertisement, either from us or a third party, you can follow the link for more information about behavioral advertising practices.
The Digital Advertising Alliance also offers a tool to opt-out of cross-app data collection on a mobile device for interest-based advertising. To make a choice for companies participating in this tool, you can download the AppChoices app.
