On Friday, 2 July, Ricky Gervais returns to AFAS Live as part of his ‘Legend Tour’. Tickets go on sale on Friday, 23 October at 10:00 AM via mojo.nl/rickygervais.

Ricky Gervais has announced the first series of major European arena shows for 2027 as part of his latest international stand-up tour, Legend, which will come to AFAS Live on Friday, 2 July.

Following the launch of the show in September this year with a run of completely sold-out dates across the UK, he will continue performing it worldwide until the end of 2027. The show will then be filmed, becoming the fifth in a series of globally successful Netflix specials.

Today, Gervais announces a series of arena shows in major European cities in 2027, including performances in Antwerp, Barcelona, Lisbon, Vienna, Paris, Zagreb, Amsterdam, Zurich and Stockholm.

“This is my most personal show yet and, with cancel culture and most of the people I knew growing up now dead, I can finally say whatever I want,” says Gervais.

Even before the show had begun, Netflix had already acquired the streaming rights to Legend for an undisclosed sum. Gervais added: “I’m not going to say how much they’re paying me this time, but I can say it’s my best deal yet.”

Gervais’ four previous tours — Humanity, SuperNature, Armageddon and Mortality — all broke box office records and topped the Netflix charts upon release. Both Armageddon and Mortality earned Ricky a Golden Globe for Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television, in 2024 and 2026 respectively.

During his recent tours, he has set numerous attendance records for English-language comedy shows in Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.

Once again, Gervais will donate a portion of ticket sales to charity. At the end of his Mortality tour in 2025, £2.43 million was donated to international animal welfare organisations.
