Jean-Michel Jarre
ADE 2026 marks a major milestone in the history of electronic music. While ADE celebrates its 30th anniversary, Jean-Michel Jarre reflects on the 50th anniversary of his first album Oxygène. This electronic masterpiece is recognized as a groundbreaking artistic experiment that has stood the test of time and influenced generations of artists who have found their home at ADE over the past three decades.
As part of the ADE Opening Concerts, Jean-Michel Jarre returns to the Netherlands for an exclusive performance at AFAS Live, presented by MOJO and Insomniac. This unique show translates Jarre’s large-scale spectacles into a modern live experience in Amsterdam.
“Electronic music, like ADE, has history, heritage and a future. With the live show in Amsterdam we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Amsterdam Dance Event, but also the 50th anniversary of Oxygène. I want to keep the tension going and move from one track to another, each time with a new atmosphere, new stage design, new giant projections and architectures of light and video, to share moments that will stay in your heart and mind for the rest of your life — that’s why I’m so happy to be part of this celebration in 2026.” — Jean-Michel Jarre
In addition to the live concert, Jarre’s presence at ADE 2026 will bridge the origins and the future of electronic music, including an exclusive keynote interview at ADE Pro, with more surprises to be revealed later. From early studio experiments to concerts that transformed entire cities into shared musical spaces, Jarre’s influence spans half a century of culture as an artist who has always placed technology, light and sound at the center of his work.
