Just now, NPO FunX DJ Fernando officially kicked off ticket sales for the NPO FunX Awards 2026 during his show. The award show will take place on May 21 at AFAS Live and promises to be another spectacular edition. With performances by Edison Award winner Cho, Kaya Imani, and Qlas, the stage is set for an unforgettable evening.

This year, the NPO FunX Awards will again be hosted by Fernando, who will be joined by FunX DJs Wef and Nordin. Together, they will guide the audience through the evening. Tickets are now available via funx.nl/tickets. In past years, the award show sold out quickly. FunX listeners will also have the chance to win tickets through various upcoming promotions.

Voting opens April 13

Fans decide who takes home an NPO FunX Award: the voting opens on Monday, April 13 via funx.nl. Awards will be presented in thirteen categories, including Artist of the Year, Best Song, Best Album, and the categories introduced last year, Best Content Creator and Best Live Act.

Power Award returns

This year, NPO FunX will again present the Power Award: a prize for someone who has made an exceptional contribution to the community. The award stands for strength, inspiration, and impact, and is given to someone who makes a visible difference through talent, dedication, or activism. This will be the seventh time the award is presented. Previous winners include Akwasi, Tim Hofman, Défano Holwijn, and Kick Out Zwarte Piet.

The FunX Awards are the most important awards for young people in the Netherlands, recognizing the best songs, albums, and homegrown artists. This year marks the thirteenth edition. Winners are determined by the NPO FunX audience. From April 13 to May 21, fans can vote for their favorites via funx.nl/awards. On May 21, the awards will be presented during the show at AFAS Live.
