Bouke meets Elvis classics
Interest in and the success of Bouke continue to grow strongly. The down-to-earth Bouke from Drenthe has already built a large fan base, and nothing suggests that this will decrease. His theater shows nearly always sell out, he has performed seven times on the Ziggo Dome stage, and it was recently announced that he will even give a concert in Las Vegas. His loyal fans always want more Bouke, and on Thursday, April 29, 2027, they will once again get exactly that. That evening, he will perform with a symphonic orchestra, conducted by Maurice Luttikhuis, at AFAS Live in Amsterdam. Bouke is very excited about this already special night: "With this orchestra, the songs become even bigger and richer than they already are. I’m really looking forward to sharing that with my fans."
Bouke grew up in a musical family and began performing at the age of 18. The general public first got to know him when he won the RTL4 program Waar is Elvis? in 2009, and he was also the absolute number one in the TV shows The Winner Takes It All (2014) and All Together Now (2019). After his participation in The Tribute – Battle of the Bands 2023, the floodgates opened. Both the expert jury and nearly a million viewers per episode were blown away by his flawless voice, which rivals the sound of Elvis. You can bet that the same will happen at AFAS Live.
About The New Symphonics:
On April 29, 2027, the orchestra The New Symphonics will join Bouke at AFAS Live. Together with this orchestra, the songs Bouke performs will become even bigger and richer than they already are. The New Symphonics was founded in 1996 by conductor Maurice Luttikhuis. The orchestra has a completely unique sound, partly developed through Maurice’s own arrangements and orchestrations, but also performs existing works by major classical composers, operettas, musicals, and film scores. Each year, The New Symphonics can be seen at events such as Viva Classic Live in Venlo, Disney in Concert at Ziggo Dome, and the Musical Awards The Kick-Off by AVROTROS. Recently, The New Symphonics shone with pianist Bernd van den Bos at the Concertgebouw in a tribute to 50 years of Bohemian Rhapsody. They have also collaborated with Lee Towers, the 3 Baritons, Thijs van Leer, Ellen ten Damme, Maria Fiselier, Philippe Elan, Emma Kok, and the top of the Dutch musical scene. Now it’s Bouke’s turn!
