Jean-Michel Jarre, honorary guest at ADE, celebrated the 50th anniversary of his debut album Oxygène at AFAS Live last night! Bringing his signature electronic sound to the stage, he delivered sick beats, epic light shows and massive projections. The French electronic music pioneer performed in front of a completely sold-out crowd for his first show in the Netherlands in 10 years — and surprised everyone by bringing none other than trance DJ Armin van Buuren along for the ride!
A major surprise at the opening of Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE): French electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre brought none other than trance DJ Armin van Buuren onto the stage at AFAS Live on Wednesday night. The concert had been completely sold out for months. For Jarre, it marked his first performance in the Netherlands in ten years. - AD
During the encore, we got an absolute must-have on any Jarre bingo card: the laser harp! Jarre’s iconic instrument, which he uses to play the melody of Magnetic Fields 2 by interrupting laser beams with his hands. - 3voor12
