Weezer: The Gathering Tour celebrates the release of the band’s new self-titled album, Weezer, which arrives on 21 August 2026. Rolling Stone described the forthcoming record as “one of the best Weezer albums of this century.” The newly announced tour dates begin in February 2027 and will take the band across Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the United Kingdom, with Taking Back Sunday as the support act. Weezer are currently preparing for an extensive 32-date North American tour, which kicks off this autumn.

Alongside the announcement, Weezer have released C.E.O., the latest single from their forthcoming album. Following the previously released singles Shine Again and We Might as Well Be Strangers (feat. Wednesday), the song explores the passage of time and the pressure to live up to the expectations of your own inner “C.E.O.”

Following the Blue, Green, Red, White, Teal and Black albums, Weezer add a new colour to their repertoire with Weezer—the twentieth studio album of their remarkable, decades-spanning career. The album was created in collaboration with Klas Åhlund and Kenneth Blume, formerly known as Kenny Beats. Weezer is a tight, energetic record bursting at the seams, featuring songs written by three of the band’s four members. It also marks the first time since the band’s debut album that frontman and guitarist Rivers Cuomo and drummer Pat Wilson have jointly written the foundations of a song.

Weezer captures the band at their very best and feels like a greatest-hits record made up entirely of new material. The album is a direct, unpolished reflection of the band and, more than thirty years after their breakthrough, sounds as urgent and relevant as ever. Its songs feature self-deprecating, humorous lyrics about growing older as a band, weighing up their legacy and choosing to keep going. At the same time, they celebrate where Weezer find themselves today: as one of the world’s most influential bands for anyone who picks up a guitar, bass or pair of drumsticks, regardless of age.
