Roxy Dekker
Roxy Dekker previously sold out Paradiso twice and Melkweg three times with her own live shows earlier this year — all in no time. Her enthusiastic fans and special guest appearances made the concerts unforgettable. AFAS Live, with a capacity of 6,000, is the natural next step for Dekker after Melkweg (capacity: 1,500) and Paradiso (1,500). Thanks to multiple gold, platinum, and diamond records, as well as her captivating and energetic live performances, Roxy Dekker has quickly become a staple in the music scenes of both the Netherlands and Belgium.
AFAS Live
In March, Roxy Dekker released her long-awaited debut album Mama I Made It. Since its release, the album has been topping the Dutch Album Top 100 for months. No fewer than eight songs from the album entered Spotify’s top ten. Her first solo shows under her own name followed in April with five sold-out performances at Amsterdam’s iconic venues Paradiso and Melkweg. The demand for tickets during presale was so high that the website crashed, and the Paradiso shows resulted in the longest ticket queues of 2024. She performed with dancers, her boyfriend Koen van Heest from the popular YouTube crew and band Bankzitters, and music friends Ronnie Flex, Russo, Yves Berendse, Claude, Turfy Gang, Froukje, S10, and Frenna. This summer, she is set to appear at festivals including Zwarte Cross and Concert at Sea, and will close the year with three special shows at AFAS Live on November 28 and 29, 2025.
Recognition
Roxy Dekker’s career is skyrocketing at an astronomical pace. Within her first year as an artist, she scored four number one hits. It all started with her song Anne-Fleur Vakantie in 2023. The twenty-year-old Amsterdam native posted the self-deprecating and generationally witty track on TikTok, which quickly went viral. Anne-Fleur Vakantie became the summer hit of 2023 and achieved gold status within four months. The follow-up single Satisfyer was also a major hit, spending months in the Dutch Top 40 and currently boasting over 60 million streams on Spotify. At the 2024 Edison Awards, she received the Edison Award for ‘Best Newcomer’. She was also named 3FM Talent, dubbed ‘Artist To Watch’ by Radio 538, and won the MTV Award for ‘Best Dutch Act’. Her songs were widely sung along to during performances at festivals such as Paaspop, 538 Koningsdag, and Dauwpop.
Her breakthrough year marked by four number one hits and the most-streamed song of the year with Sugardaddy culminated in January 2025 at the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival, where she was awarded the Popprijs, the most prestigious prize in Dutch pop music. She followed in the footsteps of artists like Kensington, Martin Garrix, and Jeugd van Tegenwoordig. She cemented her status as Best Newcomer at the Edisons by winning the award for Best Pop the following year. At the Top 40 Awards, Roxy was named Best Dutch-Language Artist. At the BUMA Awards, four of her songs ranked in the top 20 most-streamed tracks of 2024, with Sugardaddy as the second most successful song. Her 2025 single Ga Dan! debuted at number one on the Spotify Top 50.
