Sziget and Lowlands
His biggest solo show to date will be a special concert for Mula B. The rapper from The Hague will showcase the diversity of his oeuvre in AFAS Live with his best-known tracks, fan favorites and new classics. The concert in AFAS Live follows a summer of performances at major festivals such as Lowlands and Sziget (Budapest). Last Saturday he closed his Narcopopour with a special show in PAARD in hometown The Hague. Under the title The End of Narcopop, he performed in a special 360 setup, right in the middle of the audience.
Edison
The Hague-based Mula B (1991) released his latest album Narcopop in 2023. The album was praised by various media as the Best Dutch-language Hip-hop Album of the Year. In 2024, Narcopop was awarded an Edison for what the jury report said was a "groundbreaking album. A tour of sold-out venues and a victory tour of leading festivals such as Best Kept Secret, Wildeburg and Into The Great Wide Open followed. Here he proved that his mix of trap, indie and electronica appeals to a wide audience and his stage performance makes him one of the most urgent festival acts of the moment. Not for nothing did his show at the Noorderslag festival end up in third place in 3VOOR12's Top 25. That weekend he also won the prestigious Pop Stipendium from Het Cultuurfonds, a recognition of his ongoing development as a serious pop artist.
Pioneer
Mula B has made an undeniable contribution to the formation of Dutch hip-hop with his repertoire. Anno 2025, he is considered a true pioneer within the Dutch music landscape. With label and collective Wilde Westen, he was one of the first to introduce the popular rap genre of trap to the Netherlands. His mixtape D&G (2016, in collaboration with LouiVos) reached cult status and is still considered a defining album within the Dutch hip-hop scene. With the four studio albums that followed and multi-platinum hits like Bandolero, Fully Fendi and Faktap Broeder, Mula B proved his lasting impact. Collaborations with artists such as S10, Frenna, Goldband, Sticks and Lijpe prove his versatility, while at the same time he remains unmistakably Mula B.
