MEAU

New Album

The upcoming performance at AFAS Live marks the next logical step for MEAU. The successful singer, who is currently scoring her fifth Top 40 hit with Het Midden, will perform songs from her Edison-winning debut album 22 alongside her live band. The setlist will also include new tracks from her upcoming album. This concert will serve both as the closing chapter of the triumphant journey of her debut record and the beginning of a new chapter in the flourishing career of the singer, songwriter, and producer.

Dat heb jij gedaan (That’s What You Did)

MEAU broke through at the end of 2021 with Dat heb jij gedaan, a song in which she openly and honestly sang about a toxic relationship and its impact on her. It’s this honesty and vulnerability that make MEAU’s music unique, resonating deeply with thousands of fans. The single struck a chord—earning the titles of Alarmschijf, 3FM Megahit, and TopSong, while also inspiring countless messages from young listeners who related to her story. The song became a massive chart success, spending eight weeks at number one in the Dutch Top 40, amassing over 85 million streams on Spotify, and becoming a hit in Belgium as well. It was certified triple platinum. Her debut album 22, released in 2023, was also a major success—going gold in its first week and winning an Edison Award.

Sold-Out Venues

Just as sincere and real on stage as she is in her music, Meau Hewitt's live shows reflect her authenticity—blending a warm, relaxed atmosphere with songs that hit straight to the heart. She performed with The Streamers, played at festivals such as Paaspop, Concert At Sea, Pinkpop, Vrienden van Amstel Live, and Pukkelpop (BE), and supported Suzan & Freek at the Ziggo Dome. Her own headline tour across Dutch and Flemish clubs sold out entirely. MEAU has collaborated with artists including Racoon, Pommelien Thijs, and the Metropole Orkest. With Racoon, she released the hit Dans m’n ogen dicht; with Pommelien Thijs, the Flemish number one hit Het Midden. Her track Stukje van mij, written for a campaign against online shaming, also became a hit. At AFAS Live, MEAU will perform all these songs and more, including new material from her next album, set for release next year.
